Blind Rivet Nuts

Blind Rivet Nuts are female-threaded fasteners that are permanently installed into a drilled or punched hole using a pneumatic or hand-powered rivet nut tool.

Blind Rivet Nuts are installed entirely from one side, making them ideal for box section, tubes and tight corners. They are installed by threading them onto the mandrel of the installation tool, placing the body in the drilled or punched hole and then drawing the mandrel towards the user to compress the body of the rivet, creating a bulge that grips the host material. This gives a strong, permanent female thread.

We offer a range of head types, body types and materials to suit all applications. See below for a brief guide to head types.

Thin Sheet Rivet Nuts

Thin Sheet Rivet Nuts

Thin Sheet Rivet Nuts, also known as Reduced Countersunk Head Rivet Nuts, are ideal for thin sheet materials, as the name suggests. With this type of rivet nut, a flush finish can be achieved with only minimal countersinking, so the strength of the thin sheet material is not significantly compromised. Alternatively, a near-flush finish can be achieved without countersinking. Some users even oversize the holes in the top substrate of the assembly so that the hole fits over the head of the rivet nut. In this case, the substrates can be clamped together with no gap and the head helps with alignment.

Large Head Rivet Nuts

Large Head Rivet Nuts

Large Head Rivet Nuts, also known as Large Flange Rivet Nuts, offer increased push out and torque resistance. The large head also provides an increased load bearing area and reinforces the hole in thinner gauge applications. It can also act as a spacer between substrates.

CSK Head Rivet Nuts

Countersunk Head Rivet Nuts

Countersunk Head Rivet Nuts give a completely flush finish when installed in a countersunk hole, which allows the substrates to be clamped together with no gap. They are best used in thicker materials. Standard Countersunk Head Rivet Nuts require a 90° countersink.
