Blind Rivets

Blind Rivets, sometimes known as 'pop' rivets, are used to permanently fasten sheet materials together. See below for blind rivets to suit any application!

Blind rivets are used by inserting the body into a drilled or punched hole. Then, the mandrel (also known as a stem) is pulled by the jaws of the setting tool. This compresses the body of the rivet, causing it to expand radially. As it compresses further, it clamps the sheet materials together. At a pre-determined level of force, the mandrel shears. The rivet body will remain in place unless it is drilled out. It is a strong and vibration-resistant fastening method that adds very little weight to the project, especially if aluminium rivets are used.
